October

We can all attest to the fact that continuing a socially distanced lifestyle made it a challenging fall. Schooling was difficult, pandemic was still raging, and, to be honest, I wasn’t much in a photographing/blog posting mood. I have known for a while that it was time to move the blog to a new platform. Blogger wasn't doing it for me anymore, and the kids have outgrown dribbles, nibbles and scribbles. I didn’t know where to move the blog, and after trying a couple times to set things up on a new platform and deciding it wasn't the right one, things hit a standstill and I gave up.
But I'm back on track, now. It's a new year and we are moving forward. Rather than backdate these posts, pretending I was on top of blogging, I'm just going to honestly post now, what we were doing months ago. So here is the first of a series of back posts to catch us up.
Socially distanced post-birthday walk with friends, downtown excursion, and a visit to Gram and Grumpy’s complete with decorate your own Halloween doughnuts and the first snow of the season!

Happy 9th Birthday!

Happy 9th Birthday!! It's hard to believe it has been 9 years since you came into this world and made us parents. It's been an amazing journey, watching you grow and change. You are an amazing older sister, always looking out and caring for your siblings. You are talented, confident and generous. We can't wait to see what you accomplish in your last year of single digits!

9th birthdays start with singing happy birthdays, strawberries, waffles and whipped cream.

Then some help opening the present at the end of a scavenger hunt made my LittleL.G.

During her online Taekwondo class LittleL.G. had the honor of kicking her for her birthday.

Due to the wind and rain from yesterday, we had more leaves in our yard than we've ever had- enough for jumping in leaf piles!

The day ended with Moe's, presents, and cake!

Happy, Happy Birthday, MiniM.E.!

Zwischen Geburtstag Zahnfee

We have called the day between the girls' birthdays "zwischen geburtstag" for years. Usually with three birthdays in one week- two days of actual birthdays and sometimes a party on the weekend- the middle week in October is just a week of "birthday everyday!"

This year, the exciting event of the day was LittleL.G.'s fourth lost tooth!

Happy 6th Birthday!

Happy 6th Birthday to our baby girl!! You have grown into such an amazing little girl. You always brighten our days with your silliness and spunkiness and you are always ready to fill an empty lap with a cuddle. We are so lucky to have you!

6th birthdays should always start with singing and cinnamon buns. Then a surprise visit from Gram who hid all night in the basement!

Even though we were already planning low key, with few places to go, it ended up being an even quieter rainy birthday. Fortunately, opening presents and new toys helped fill the day.

Pizza Hut dinner, and of course more singing and brownies and ice cream!

Happy, Happy 6th Birthday LittleL.G.!!
