Soaking Up the Last Rays of Summer

It's hard to believe that September and the start of school are just around the corner. Our busy summer flew by!

We have been trying to enjoy some of our favorite summer activities we haven't had a chance to do yet this year.

We met some friends at our former favorite playground.

We finally made it back up to Moreau Lake after the scare of parasites and algae blooms finally waned.

This weekend we'll head back to NH for one last summer weekend swimming at Gram and Grumpy's.

Meamaw and Grandpa's Summer Visit

Meamaw and Grandpa came to visit Thursday and stayed through the weekend. The past couple summers we spent a week away at a lake house, but this year a few hiccups (and a mischievous toddler) kept us close to home instead.

We've exhausted all the fun places to go nearby so we decided to mostly stick close to home with lots of doll playing, BabySlimJim watching and a trip to the hotel pool for some swimming.

We did manage to get downtown to walk the streets, see the tourists and ride the carousel.

We dragged Meamaw and Grandpa to Huck Finn's Playland- a trip we've promised the girls for weeks.

And we made it to (bring your own) breakfast to the track.

Thanks for coming Meamaw and Grandpa! We had a great visit!

Summer Fun With The Playgroup

With swimming over, trips to take, long weekends away, camps to go to and other summer obligations, even though the playgroup moms got to get together in NYC, the kids haven't seen much of each other. We had to make an effort to get together for a playgroup date. We picked downtown because that used to be our go to playdate: Ducks and (Star)Bucks.

More NH

Because nothing is better than being able to walk out the back door to the pool. Not to mention a break from cooking and laundry!

We took walks, played with bubbles, used the swingset and the zip line...

and of course, did lots of swimming. The girls are both getting so much better, especially LittleL.G., whose confidence in the water has skyrocketed!

It was a nice break and a great long weekend.
