More Pool Fun

We stayed on a few more days to enjoy the pool:

Sadly, LittleL.G. has a terrible ear infection. Thanks to the current situation, we were able to schedule a virtual visit with our doctor this afternoon so we could get her antibiotics before heading home, but the poor kid was in really rough shape on the ride back. Hopefully she is back to herself soon!

Father's Day Weekend in NH with Daddy

Happy Father's Day to the two amazing dads in my life!

After work Friday, we drove to NH with Daddy. We stopped at a delicious pizza restaurant on the way and got take out to eat on their picnic tables. Sadly, we seem to have bad driving luck when we bring Daddy with us: last trip Mr. T. threw up on the way, SlimJim threw up on the way back, and after dinner, LittleL.G. threw up her pizza. Hoping 3 out of 4 is all we have to deal with!

It was a great weekend of lots and lots of swimming:

Even though the kids could probably swim all day, sometimes the grown ups need a break from the water, so we were entertained by many "shows":

And kept them busy with lots of food:

And of course, the boys never cease to find things to destroy do:

Daddy had to go back for work, but we'll stick around a few more days to take advantage of the "Gram and Grumpy Resort".

Lazy Days

While I am disappointed that swimming lessons won't happen this summer, we are enjoying the lazy days of summer, with nothing to do and all the time to take long walks, or play outside, or create something that takes hours, or just lounge in the backyard. I am glad that this summer we will get to enjoy as many lazy days as we want.

Lake Luzerne

I consider myself to be very lucky that my kids aren't badgering me to go more places and do more things, considering the situation. Once in a while SlimJim asks something sad, like, "playgrounds open yet, Mommy?" and when I say no, he rationalizes with, "Maybe soon, because it isn't summer yet."

know the kids have been dying for a beach day, so today we tried going up to Lake Luzerne, since it's a small and not so well known beach.

We arrived early and had the beach to ourselves.

By 10:30 the crowds were rolling in, and by noon there were so many people crowded where the water meets the sand (where every toddler plays and where every mom needs to be an arms length away) that we decided we had to leave.

Luckily a few hours at the beach was plenty for everyone once I mentioned stopping for ice cream on the way home.
