First we searched for salamanders. The girls put their suits on but there was still ice on the lake a couple weeks ago so the water was bitingly cold and we could only wade a bit.
Then we dug holes and moats in the sand.
Last year BabySlimJim was still a baby during beach season, so all this sand was a new experience. There was a lot of tasting. Yum!
When we were done at the beach we stopped at the playground for a while.
And no first day at the beach is complete without ice cream from the Dairy Haus.
