Summer in New Hampshire

We love to spend time in New Hampshire in the summertime, the kids can't get enough of the pool, and Gram and Grumpy's house is like kid-summer-resort-heaven. Trampoline, zipline, playground, pool and now a new spider web swing. It's so nice having everything right out the back door. The pool was warm, and the kids spent most of their days in the pool swimming.

Back to Tournaments

After a year and a half of pandemic, martial arts tournaments are back. The girls were excited to compete this weekend. They both did a great job.

Beaches, Hikes, and the Start of Summer

We finished school for the year Friday! To celebrate the end of the year, we took a trip to the beach with our new neighbors and ended the week with a hike to our favorite frog-finding trail.

This week has been a start of summer adventure. It's always nice to be done, but it takes a while to get into the new routine. The goal for this summer is to have lots of fun, but also lots of time to relax. Even though it was tempting to do all the things, we chose another beach day and another hike- this time with frogs AND snakes.

Welcome Summer!

Long Island

We so excited to finally be able to travel and our first trip had to be to visit Baby M, who we haven't seen since he was two months old. We were lucky to find an Airbnb just blocks from Long Beach, about 45 minutes from Bob's brother's house. It was great to see Baby M (and his mom and dad). He's grown so much! The kids had a blast playing at the playground we could walk to from their house.

Saturday we decided to spend the day at the beach. Baby M isn't an early riser, so we had time to walk around and get breakfast at a diner first. Our first meal out as a family post-pandemic!

The beach was amazing. There were hardly any people, and the waves were big and the water was surprisingly warm. The only kid that wasn't a fan was Mr.T., but he fell asleep soon after we arrived, which made the day easier. MiniME and SlimJim couldn't get enough of the water. LittleLG built in the sand with Baby M.

After church Sunday, we walked the Nautical Mile and had italian ice, then spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach before our last dinner with Baby M. It certainly won't be a year and half before we visit again!
