Today was Big Trucks Day. While MiniME was at black belt training, daddy took the three younger kids to see firetrucks, buses and helicopters.

Another trip to New Hampshire. Lots more swimming in the pool, and another trip to the trampoline park.
This trip we also drove up to Odiorne Point to explore the tide pools. We used to go on field trips there when I was in elementary school, and I remember loving it. It wasn't quite the same experience this time- less tide pools, more slippery and certainly not for 2 and 4 year old boys, but we found a few animals and enjoyed the rocky beach and playground.
It's been almost a year since we've seen Meamaw and Grandpa. During our last visit with them, we were stuck inside the whole time. This year in addition to just spending some time together, we were able to get out and about. We swam at the Peerless Pool on a day just a little too cool and cloudy.
We went to the New York State Museum and walked around downtown Albany on a day just a little too hot and sunny. The Museum was an entertaining experience with the boys, to say the least. Before we even entered the exhibit hall:
A playground five minutes from our house? Easy to get to, Gavin park was a common place for us pre-pandemic. While it's always hot because there's not much shade, that makes it an excellent location for a splash park. Today we played at the playground for a while to get nice and hot and sweaty before moving to the splash park. It was a good thing it was hot and sunny and the kids were toasty from playing, because the water was ice cold. Despite the freezing toes, everyone had a blast.
