The weather hasn't felt very summery lately, and 4th of July weekend has be no exception. Fireworks last night were cancelled at the beach, so instead we opted for two nights of barbecuing in the backyard with Gram and Grumpy, a mini pinata and backyard fireworks.
There's a sweet spot between our end of school and everyone else's end of school where we can do all the summer stuff without the crowds of summer vacationers. We're trying to blend being out with staying home and relaxing. Ice cream, backyard pool with friends, and a trip to the beach- we had the whole beach to ourselves.
