Meamaw & Grandpa Visit

 

It's been almost a year since we've seen Meamaw and Grandpa. During our last visit with them, we were stuck inside the whole time. This year in addition to just spending some time together, we were able to get out and about. We swam at the Peerless Pool on a day just a little too cool and cloudy.

We went to the New York State Museum and walked around downtown Albany on a day just a little too hot and sunny. The Museum was an entertaining experience with the boys, to say the least. Before we even entered the exhibit hall:

 

 

 

Gavin Park Playground & Splash Park

A playground five minutes from our house? Easy to get to, Gavin park was a common place for us pre-pandemic. While it's always hot because there's not much shade, that makes it an excellent location for a splash park. Today we played at the playground for a while to get nice and hot and sweaty before moving to the splash park. It was a good thing it was hot and sunny and the kids were toasty from playing, because the water was ice cold. Despite the freezing toes, everyone had a blast.

 

Dino Roar Valley

 

With the girls away for a couple days, we took the boys to Dino Roar Valley. The dinosaur part was far better than the included amusement park, though the boys like the rides the best. The girls wouldn't have had a great time, so they didn't miss out.
