Lake Week: Day 4

It was a drizzly morning so we started the day with breakfast at Hunter's Diner. The weather was still pretty dismal on the way home, so we stopped at the Agriculture Museum down the road. To be honest, it didn't sound very exciting. The fact that it was free lowered our expectations even more. But it turned out to be pretty fantastic. Unlike most museums where everything is "look, don't touch", this one did a good job of presenting artifacts that the kids could interact with.

By the time we returned home, ate lunch and took a rest, the sun was shining and the girls were thrilled to play outside, even though it was a bit cool for swimming. I planned for a lot of downtime that would need fun activities, so the girls enjoyed magic chalk painting for a good chunk of the afternoon.

When that got old, we headed out to another nearby park.

More backyard playtime.

And a canoe ride to finish out the day.
